Hisway is a civil construction contractor based in South Nowra, NSW. We deliver water and wastewater infrastructure, subdivision civil works, pavements, and bulk earthworks across the South Coast and Illawarra — for councils, developers, and water utilities. Founded in 1971, we've been building infrastructure in the region for more than 50 years.
We run a minimum of eight crews at any time, across multiple projects. That takes real systems — clear planning, defined sequencing, and consistent execution on every job — and it means steady, well-organised work for our people.

Pipelines & Utilities
Water mains, gravity sewers, pressure mains, and stormwater infrastructure for councils and water utilities. We work across open cut, shored excavations, and constrained urban environments. Our capability covers design coordination, excavation, pipe installation, connections, and commissioning support.
Subdivision Civil Works
Full civil delivery for residential and industrial subdivisions — roads, underground services, kerb and gutter, drainage, and service connections. We manage multi-stage programs with structured resourcing and clear sequencing from early earthworks through to practical completion.
Pavements & Roads
Road construction and rehabilitation for council infrastructure, estate roads, and access networks. We assess existing pavement conditions, develop treatment methodologies, and self-perform subgrade preparation, road base, and sealing works.
Bulk Earthworks
Cut and fill, bulk excavation, mass haulage, and land forming. We operate plant suited to the variable ground conditions across the South Coast — including rock, high water table, and acid sulfate soil environments. We plan earthworks programs before mobilisation, not during them.
Rural Driveways & Access
Design and construction of rural driveways and private access roads — pavement design, water management, drainage structures, and erosion control. We also work with residential and architectural clients on feature access works and landscaping integration.

We work directly with the principals who need the work delivered — local councils, water utilities, private developers, and state agencies.
We've historically delivered projects up to around $30 million, depending on what's available in our area and our area of expertise. We'll also take on smaller jobs where they suit our crews and plant.
